The selection of appropriate prestige brands to partner premier hotel spas
We find, introduce and establish Prestige Brands to the Spa operation. The Prestige Brand will provide a greatly enhanced opportunity for significant & extensive PR (see CASE STUDIES – THE BERKELEY). Howard Consulting have a proven track record in partnering premier brands with premier hotels with the result of increasing the profile of the hotel.
If the Hotel is to be successful in extending its Spa service to the local community, the Prestige Brand assists in creating a point of difference between the hotel’s Spa and all other local treatment operations using ‘popular’ brands. This in turn increases the Spa & Hotel’s image in the local market as well as often doubling treatment revenues.

Spa Design Guidance
Assisting designers & architects with specifications & detailed design briefs
We assist the designer or architect with design guidance, providing comprehensive room specification sheets; ‘working-up’ the scheme with due consideration to the accommodation of all the required equipment & supplies. All spa-specific MEP requirements are communicated to the project team; and advice given on interior design schemes & materials - all from a practical operational point of view and in the best interest of the spa journey.
Howard Consulting proposes the content & ‘experience specification’ for Thermal & Hydrotherapy Suites, Relaxation Areas & Treatment Rooms as well as fitness layouts that best serve the concept, and ancillary facilities that are both operationally practical and in keeping with the Spa. Finally, Howard Consulting ensures that construction, ‘fit’ and installation of equipment is carried out according to the agreed standards and specifications by attending site visits and a snagging inspection.

Spa Pre-Opening
Equipment, Spa Operational set-up, Operations Manuals, Recruitment, Training & Soft Opening. Ensuring premier standards of spa service
We prepare the project for operation, providing cost, technical schedules & procurement timetables for all loose specialist Spa & Club equipment & supplies to launch the operation. Operational budgets for both pre-opening and operation are created along with liaison with the Hotel regarding the content and frequency of financial information, audits & reports.
Howard Consulting supports the Hotel’s Sales, Marketing and PR efforts to ensure that the Spa & Club’s concept is fully & accurately communicated to the target markets in advance of the opening.
The foundation blocks required to ensure the highest standards of service quality are formed in this Module:
