Improving Spa Operations

Choose from one of the 3 following Key Services:

Mystery Guest Audits

One of the most effective ways to test your hotel's current spa performance is via professionally conducted Mystery Guest Audits. Howard Consulting have been involved in assessing Spas on a National basis being selected as a Judge for the prestigious 'Annual Professional Beauty Awards'. A mystery guest audit will benchmark your Spa Nationally and against the vast exposure to Spas in the international and national market that Howard Consulting is very familiar with.

Hotels classically believe they have this service already covered by the AA, RAC, GAP or similar hotel provider,, however the expertise of these organizations lies more with the hotel's traditional core services. We believe we judge a Spa's performance on a vastly wider and deeper basis through the eyes of specialist Spa consultants.

SPA Improvement Programs

A Spa Improvement Programme can take on various styles. It can be aimed at service levels; analyse financial potential; or identify market positioning with a view to change.

Firstly, a Spa operation must identify their specific need. Service standards is often where we start. This can be achieved through Mystery Guest Audits or overt Operational Audits. Ideally, there should be an on-going Appraisal, Training & Development Program in place that regularly self-checks performance of the Spa and individuals. If not, Howard Consulting will assist in establishing this program, or can supply any of the following popular training modules:

1. Understanding Spa Financials
2. Spa Sales & Marketing Plans
3. Financial Reviews & Implementation of Improvement - for the benefit of the Hotel & Spa
4. Introduction & Implementation of a Spa Personnel Appraisal, Training & Development Program
5. Improving Retail Sales
6. Improving Treatment Delivery
7. Improving & Enhancing the Spa Journey
